A BAD-TEMPERED 'friendly' between Swindon Supermarine and Selectabook ended with Marine youngster Chris Oke suffering a suspected broken leg.
The game finished 2-2, with hosts Marine taking a 2-0 second-half lead thanks to goals from Justin Miller and Simon Futcher.
But Sunday League Selectabook bolstered by a host of Devizes Town players fought back to level with a Nick Mooney strike and a Dave Hopkins penalty.
After a series of heavy challenges and scuffles it was no surprise to see a player injured, but the manor of Oke's misfortune was quite bizarre.
Marine full-back Chris Copp attempted a full-bloodied challenge on Mooney but ended up taking out teammate Oke as well as his intended target.
Paramedics were called to take the midfielder to hospital and to cap a miserable night for the home side, Giles Harris was sent off for a heavy tackle in the closing stages.
Elsewhere, Chippenham Town were 1-0 winners at Screwfix League Paulton.
Bluebirds' boss Tommy Saunders got one over on old enemy Darren Perrin thanks to Matt Rawlins' 70th-minute strike.
Chippenham striker Martin Paul was asked to leave the field in the opening moments for abusive language.
Highworth won in more comfortable fashion, beating New College 6-2.
Tate Hulbert led the scoring with a hat-trick, while Anthony McAteer, Russ Byrne and Rodd Adams were also on target.
Cirencester Town were 1-0 winners at Bishops Cleeve with Darren Robison scoring from the penalty spot.
