A BOY from Lechlade is among more than 80 others preparing to take their dogs to a special training camp run by the Young Kennel Club.
Anthony Clarke, who lives in Hambridge Lane, will go with his five dogs, ranging from a Jack Russell Terrier to a Belgian cross collie to the Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire for six days tomorrow.
The club says the camp is an opportunity for children to develop their skills and those of their dogs.
Kennel club spokeswoman Caroline Kisko said that it was important to invest in their young members to develop not only their skill with their dogs, but to offer the opportunity for them to develop their organisational talents, which would help in their own lives.
