SWINDON & District BA will be looking for a change in fortunes this weekend. They have lost their last four representative matches but president Mike Large is hoping for a rare success tomorrow, when they take on Oxfordshire Vice Presidents at Swindon Bowls Club.

THE following Sunday, August 10, Large has invited Eddie Wells, Dave Gough, Chris Payne and Jim Nelson to represent the S&D in the Geoff Gleed Trophy being staged at Highworth Bowls Club (10am).
RODBOURNE Cheney's Wendy Anderson won both singles events at the Wiltshire Women's Championship finals held at Spencer Melksham earlier in the week.
Anderson romped to an easy 21-7 win over Marlborough's Ellen Bolland in the morning in the four-wood singles.
In the afternoon she had a tough battle against Wroughton's Brenda Hunter before scoring one shot on the last end for a 13-12 victory in the two-wood singles final.
