THIEVES made off with thousands of pounds worth of leather jewellery boxes and satin slippers after driving away the van they were kept in.
Police have re-appealed for witnesses after a van driver stopped his Mercedes Sprinter outside the entrance to the Early Learning Centre warehouse in South Marston on the morning of Friday, July 18 and went to a nearby security office.
A white transit van was driven up to the van and a passenger jumped out and broke in to the Mercedes.
Both vans drove off together.
Police later found the van abandoned in Kingsdown Crematorium where a haul of stolen goods had been transferred.
The haul included a quantity of Smythsons of Bond Street leather goods worth £20,950, including 20 cufflink boxes each worth £175.50, envelope shaped boxes in pale blue pigskin each worth £135, and 30 black pigskin jewellery boxes each worth £89.
In addition, 1,206 pairs of satin Princess slippers worth a total of £1,000 were stolen.
The two suspects are described as white men, wearing reflective yellow or green jackets.
