Ref. 26003-29NURSERY school children gave a fond farewell to their pre-school days with a tea party to celebrate moving up to primary school.
The Leapfrog Day Nursery in St Andrew's Ridge used the occasion to mark its own third birthday as well.
Children, staff and parents all met to enjoy a tea party at the Jovial Monk pub, St Andrew's Ridge.
The nursery laid on a birthday cake, party food, face painting and a raffle.
As part of the fun the children were presented with leaving certificates and looked back at the highlights of their three years with Leapfrog.
All money raised went to the Abby Smith Cancer Fund, set up in memory of the former nursery school pupil who died of a brain tumour last year, aged three.
Nursery manager Pauline Young said: "Everyone was looking forward to taking part in the third birthday celebrations.
"We are all very proud of the nursery and hope to enjoy many more successful years.
"It also gave the staff a great opportunity to say goodbye to the pre-school children and wish them lots of luck in their new schools."
