SWINDON Supermarine look to extend their unbeaten pre-season run to five matches when they travel to Corsham Town this evening (7.30pm).

Manager Ray Baverstock names the same squad that drew 2-2 with Hook Norton on Saturday, with the addition of Stuart Hodson and Giles Harris.

Corsham, now managed by former Chippenham assistant Nobby Bush, will be looking for an upturn in results after a disappointing pre-season thus far.

Like Marine, Dr Martens League rivals Cirencester have yet to taste defeat in their friendly programme either, though that record will be severely tested by visiting Bath City tonight (7.30pm).

Ciren will be without forwards Ben Fitch and Gareth Hopkins, but new signing Gary Wotton could return after ankle ligament trouble.

CHIPPENHAM Town boss Tommy Saunders was fuming after Cheltenham pulled out of last night's friendly at Hardenhuish Park at the 11th hour.

The Nationwide League club informed Chippenham they would not be making the trip yesterday morning due to an injury crisis ahead of their opening game of the Division 3 campaign on Saturday.

Cheltenham boss Bobby Gould said: "I felt that we had insufficient players for the training session on Saturday and with the new season less than a week away we do not want to take any chances."

But the nature of the late withdrawal has upset Saunders, who spent much of yesterday trying to organise a replacement .

"I am extremely disappointed that Cheltenham did not give us more notice," he said. "They knew their injury situation and could have informed us last week to give us the chance to sort something out.

"Bobby Gould has been making excuses to try and get out of this match for months now but as far as I'm concerned we had a written agreement and they have broken that agreement.''

Chippenham now have one more game to prepare for the new Dr Martens League season, against Brislington on Saturday.
