A WILDLIFE hunt with a difference will be taking place at Keynes Country Park in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park on Frida.
Neil Woodward, an expert on moths, will be leading a four to five hour long moth trapping session.
Neil, a well-known moth trapper and author on the subject, is the centre manager at the Wildfowl and Wildlife Trust at Slimbridge.
He agreed to lead the event which starts at 9pm from the Millennium Visitor Centre at Keynes Park, signposted from the Spine Road.
"Moths in the UK have dramatically declined in the past few decades due to habitat losses and excessive use of agricultural and horticultural chemicals," said Gareth Harris, the park's Biodiversity officer.
"Most people tend not to appreciate the incredible diversity of moths that may be found on our own doorstep, in particular the impressive and beautiful hawk moth."
The evening will be based at the visitor centre with regular visits to the moth traps outside.
Anyone interested in going is advised to wear suitable walking shoes, waterproof clothing and they should arry a torch.
