I must write to pass on sincere thanks to our North Wilts MP, Mr James Gray. His resolute and painstaking efforts, to endeavour and save RAF Lyneham are most distinguishable.

How many MPs, if you study the commons debate in recent years, actually are prepared to stand up to parliament and be both ridiculed and told to retract their statement. I admire his sense of duty to the community.

It is a pity that most of the top Ministry of Defence echelon, didn't have the same determination, direction and common sense, ensuring the nation's realm is not put in jeopardy by locating the RAF's air transport and air refuelling fleets at a single station.

Why did the warlords of the past disperse resources? Lessons learned! You do not put the entire air transport and refuelling capability at total risk.
