TEA room and boat shop owner Graham Lee is reviving a once popular waterside carnival at Pewsey Wharf.
Mr Lee, who owns the Waterfront tea room and adjacent boat shop at Pewsey Wharf, has old photographs showing hundreds of people enjoying events at the wharf.
On September 6 and 7 he is hoping to revive the spirit of bygone days by staging a wharf carnival weekend, with the proceeds going to the Wilts and Berks Canal Trust.
The event will include a procession of decorated boats, morris and clog dancing and live music from the folk group Meet On The Ledge.
Mr Lee, who took part in the Devizes-Westminster canoe race at Easter, raising more than £1,000 for the canal restoration project, said: "They used to have very well attended canal fairs here in the past and we want to revive that spirit.
"This is a natural venue for that kind of event and we have arranged some nearby fields for events to spread out into and the Wigglybus will be providing a park and ride service from Pewsey and Marlborough."
