A SPECIAL charity evening at Pewsey Vale Riding School at Stanton St Bernard, near Devizes, has raised more than £1,000 for local charities.
The money from the event will be shared between Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal and the village church and hall fund.
After the gymkhana, hundreds of local people turned up to a dance featuring live band Episode 2 in a marquee at the centre.
Centre manager Lisa Ainley said: "We have raised lots of money for the air ambulance over the last three years, because we are in such a rural area and if, God forbid, an accident happens, the helicopter could be a lifeline to us."
The dance followed a gymkhana in which more than 100 local children and young people took part.
Among the youngest taking part was four-year-old Jonty Bevins.
