Ref.10483PEWSEY'S new carnival queen Danielle Robb could have been forgiven if she had a touch of dj vu when she was selected.
That's because her mum Tracy, 33, was carrying Danielle when she was crowned carnival queen of Pewsey in 1986.
Carnival royalty also runs deep in the family.
Several of Mrs Robb's aunts had been carnival queens in the past and one of Danielle's cousins, Claire Drewitt, was carnival queen a couple of years ago.
Danielle left Pewsey Vale School at the end of the summer term and will be joining New College in Swindon in September to study travel and tourism.
She said: "My ambition is to go to Spain and be a travel rep working with children."
There were ten entrants in the queen contest held at a dance in the Bouverie Hall.
Two of Danielle's friends were chosen as her attendants, Sarah Stenning, 17, and Emma Drinnan, 16.
