Ref.10480CHILDREN aged between four and seven enjoyed a story trail involving kiddies book Penguin Post at Malmesbury Library on Monday.

The 17 children who took part in the story which follows the adventures of little Milo the penguin had a great time.

It is the first time a story trail has been run at the library where children first hear a reading of the story then have to find props related to the story hidden among the books and furniture.

Ms Kennedy said children had lots of fun looking for eggs with little penguins concealed around the library. "There were six parcels hidden and the children loved opening the presents and all wanted to hold the penguin," she said.

Another initiative, the 'reading maze challenge' aimed at encouraging children to read through the summer months, has also been a success.
