LOUISA Lockwood and Opposition Summertime continued their recent run of success, mounting a strong challenge at Gatcombe Park at the weekend.
They went into the Intermediate Championships at the prestigious event in confident mood following second and third placings at Burgie and Aston le Walls earlier this summer.
A good start in the dressage saw them just one point adrift of leader William Fox-Pitt with a score of 29.8.
But a pole down in the showjumping left them with everything to prove in Mark Phillips' advanced cross-country course.
They rose to the challenge, storming around the tricky course without putting a foot wrong to finish fourth behind Fox-Pitt, MJ Tunbridge and Rodney Powell in what was a very competitive section.
Louisa and her horse team up next at the CCI3 at Blenheim in September.
