Ref.10457CALNE'S Millennium Library has been recognised in a prestigious UK-wide awards scheme that highlights the best in architecture and environmental design.
It is one of 58 projects commended in the 2003 Civic Awards Scheme for its high standard of design.
Wiltshire County Council chairman Jerry Willmott said: "I am delighted to be presenting these awards, which recognise the quality, variety and innovation of architecture design in Wiltshire.
"I am particularly pleased to be presenting an award to the Millennium Library in Calne."
The other successful Wiltshire project was the Crescent House in Compton Bassett. It was designed by owner Ken Shuttleworth, of Fosters and Partners, the company which designed London's Millennium Bridge.
