MARK Few, of Snuff Street, Devizes, appeared in court on Monday following an alleged assault on an Indian restaurant waiter in the town.
Few, 30, was charged at Chippenham Magistrates' Court with a racially aggravated assault and criminal damage at Deedars Restaurant, Sidmouth Street on July 12.
He pleaded not guilty to the two charges but pleaded guilty to a third charge of assaulting a police officer.
His case was adjourned for a pre-trial review on September 24.
He was granted bail with six conditions. He is to remain living at Snuff Court, and must observe a curfew from 8pm to 6am. He must present himself to a police station at a set time during his curfew, and must not enter Sidmouth Street.
He is not permitted to enter licensed premises nor speak to anyone involved in the case.
