BUDDING Paparazzi Tom Dickinson has exposed his poor dad and bagged himself a photography prize.
Nine-year-old Tom, of Eastcott Hill, Old Town, snapped his dad Gordon who was sporting a strange mask seemingly picking his nose at last month's Swindon Festival.
The boy, who came top in the under 16 age group, said: "I was really surprised I had won because all the others seemed experienced.
"It's nice to have won it though. I'm going to have to think what I am going to do with the £100 voucher."
Swindon Artscape, which organised the five-day festival last month, was impressed by the Tom's honest attention to detail.
His dad said: "Since he was four or five he has enjoyed taking pictures. He isn't afraid to move about and climb on things to get the best shot.
Meanwhile Tony Powell of Burford Avenue, Old Walcot, the official photographer for Swindon Jazz Festival, picked up the top prize in the adult category with a stunning picture of a Zimbabwean singing group.
Tony said: "I have entered competitions before but I was still surprised to learn I had won this."
He was also presented with a £100 voucher to spend at photography shop Sight 2 Sound in Regent Street.
Roger Ogle of Rivenhall Road, Westlea was given a £50 voucher for his picture entitled Reflections of the Future, which showed a group of girls wearing futuristic clothes.
