A motorist stopped by a police officer shortly before his neighbour was accused of dangerous driving, told Swindon Crown Court of the PC's "aggressive" attitude.
Ramesh Salaam, who lives near Clive King in Southampton Street, said he was pulled over by PC Peter Best in front of King's Fiat Coupe in Commercial Road because he had his fog lights on.
"The officer was quite aggressive and said he was going to slap a ticket on the car," he said.
Mr Salaam saw King, who denies dangerous driving, get into his car and heard the engine start up. The officer then told King to put his car on the recovery vehicle, he said.
The officer was beside the driver's door when King looked over his shoulder, signalled and pulled away.
The case continues.
