AN EXPERT on the Iraq conflict is coming to speak in Swindon this week.
Dr Kamil Mahdi of Exeter University will talk on what life is like for ordinary Iraqis as attacks on British and American forces run at 35 a day.
He has been invited by the Swindon Stop the War Coalition and the event is at 7.30pm on Thursday in the Friends Meeting House, Eastcott Hill.
Andy Newman, secretary of the coalition said: "Advocates of the war on Iraq have stopped even mentioning the Weapons of Mass Destruction, which clearly did not exist at the time of invasion. Now they try to justify the war by saying it was in the interests of the Iraqi people, so what do Iraqis really think?"
