SWINDON Social Services is among the seven worst out of 150 authorities in the country. These are the shocking findings of the Social Services Directorate which gave the department no stars in its rating.
Last year the department's head officer resigned and this year Keith Skerman was brought in to lead the department into meeting its standards.
But this latest report shows that vulnerable adults and children are not getting the service they deserve.
Mr Skerman and lead members of the council say services have started to improve but there will be no quick results.
Results are what the people of Swindon who need the service deserve. If they do not start to happen the Government must bring in a whole new team.
