A FROGGIE sculpture has finally found a home four years after first being commissioned to celebrate the Millennium.
Judy Boyt's ball of frogs sculpture is to go on the steps next to the Wharf Theatre on the edge of the Kennet and Avon Canal in the centre of Devizes.
Initially the town council and Ms Boyt had selected the canal towpath at the Town Bridge on Northgate Street, but British Waterways, which manages the canal and its surroundings, feared that it might interfere with canal navigation.
The sculpture has been sitting in Ms Boyt's garden in Easterton Sands since July 2002.
The £13,000 artwork was financed by a grant from the town council and contributions from art lovers and other funding bodies.
