Dedicated volunteer Claire Evans has become an MBE, an honour made in recognition of her work with the Wiltshire Users' Network.
Mrs Evans, from The Orchard, Cherhill, went to Buckingham Palace with her husband David and two adult children where she was made an MBE by the Queen.
The Users' Network is a support service that helps people get their views heard within the health and Social Services.
Users include those with physical disability, mental health problems, learning disabilities and older people.
Mrs Evans said: "The Queen asked what I actually did. I said I work with others to give them a voice. She said she thought that was a good idea.
"It was a very happy day."
