ON September 28 I felt unwell and called an ambulance. On the way to Swindon I was unfortunate enough to suffer a cardiac arrest.
I would like to publicly thank those unsung heroes the paramedics. Without their training and skill I would not be here today.
I would also like to thank all the medical staff who treated me on the cardiac wards of both the Great Western Hospital in Swindon and the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
Your care and understanding is greatly appreciated.
The NHS is a much maligned organisation but without the training, dedication, care and understanding of the many members of the medical profession, I am sure there are many of us who would not be as fit and well as we are today. Thank you all once again.
