Ref. 27736-19RESIDENTS at Davis House in Swindon are sitting more comfortably after a team of volunteers gave part of their dining room a makeover.
Around 60 Zurich staff, working in teams of 15, redecorated the seating area for the 120 men and women living at the Salvation Army hostel, which cares for and rehabilitates the homeless.
Centre manager Major Dave Coates, said: "They have completely transformed it. It is so much more homely now."
Before the volunteers arrived there were just a few comfortable chairs.
However, in two days they had built partitions, installed up lighters, painted walls, put up pictures and graphics and added potted plants.
"It is a place where people can sit and relax with a cup of tea after their meal," he explained.
