Ref. 27772-19SHOPPERS at Swindon's Designer Outlet Village could have been forgiven for thinking Pudsey Bear was joining the cast of the next Star Wars movie.
Pudsey mingled with characters from the film series, including deadly Stormtroopers, during a walkabout.
But the big yellow bear and the sci-fi characters were there to prepare shoppers for the Children In Need fundraising event which will take place there next weekend.
The Space Station Pudsey II event will support this year's campaign and the Designer Outlet Village will be the hub of fundraising activity in Swindon.
Other sci-fi favourites from Dr Who and Star Trek will join Pudsey and the Star Wars stars when they return to the centre on November 21 and 22.
A life size Tardis has been made especially for the event, which is being held in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of Dr Who.
It will be the second time Space Station Pudsey has landed in Swindon.
The first event was held at BT North Star House in 1996 and organisers are hoping that this year's event will be as successful.
More than 40 stores at the Designer Outlet Village will be taking part in the fundraising activities.
On Friday all money paid for car parking will be donated to Children in Need.
