OLD Town's Christmas lights are to be switched on at 7pm on Thursday, November 20 on the corner of Victoria Road and Wood Street.
Festivities start at 6pm, with clowns, Goldilocks, Father Christmas and the Swindon Male Voice Choir.
Wood Street will be closed for the event, which is sponsored by the Advertiser and Intel.
"The Victorian buildings give it a great atmosphere," said organiser Harry Bromley.
"We would never have done this without the sponsors."
