THE luck of the Irish has struck three times for a Trowbridge dustman after hitting gold again on Saturday.
George Burrell, 58, of Seymour Road, has now scooped £7,500 from the Irish Lottery in just one year.
His most recent success came on Saturday winning him £1,500 from a £1 stake at Corals Bookmakers in Trowbridge.
Now friends at his local pub, The Twelve Bells, are copying his numbers hoping the luck of the Irish will rub off on them.
Mr Burrell said: "I must be the luckiest council worker in Trowbridge. Picking lottery numbers is a lot more lucrative than picking up litter from the streets."
Mr Burrell, who is originally from Belfast, has used the cash to secure a mortgage on his home.
