THE youth of Trowbridge paid their own tribute to men and women killed in conflict when they laid floral wreaths at the town's war memorial on Tuesday.
Marking the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, pupils from Claren-don Secondary School and Roundstone Preparatory School took wreaths to the park memorial to pay their respects.
Growing in stature every year, the informal wreath-laying event gives young people a chance to pay their own individual tributes to those who died in all conflicts, including the war in Iraq.
Colin Kay, headteacher at Clarendon School, said laying the wreaths was something the students felt they wanted to do.
