Ref. 27780-23The number 13 may be unlucky for some, but for John Morgan it netted him £100,000.
John, 65, bought a £30 Million Spectacular scratchcard from Swindon newsagent Havelock News in Havelock Street last Friday. John, who works for seat belt company Securon said: "I scratched off two matching 13s and couldn't believe I'd won so much.
"Everyone who was in the newsagent started clapping. It was all very surreal, but fantastic at the same time."
John and his wife Gillie, 65, who has managed Gillie's Caf in Havelock Street for 16 years, clearly have luck on their side.
In the past few months the couple have won £124 and several other smaller amounts of cash.
As well as Christmas presents for their children and grandchildren, John is looking forward to visiting his 87-year-old mother Barbara in Brisbane, Australia, in January. He hasn't seen her for four years.
Shop assistant Shelley Webb, 31, sold John his winning ticket. S
he said: "He's always winding me up that he's won a big one. I thought he was joking."
