Ref. 27543MONTHS of hard work will pay off tonight for amateur fashion designer Wayne Palmer.
Final rehearsals have been in full swing this week for Wayne's World Of Fashion presents The Four Seasons at Melksham Assembly Hall.
Mr Palmer designed and made all 72 outfits for the show as well as arranging the whole event including sorting menus, models, and the music.
He even decided to compere the event himself and will model a couple of outfits.
He said: "I have no training and basically made things up as I went along. I like a challenge and do like to be in control.
"It all came about after I was challenged to do it by another model I sometimes work with. I couldn't resist giving it a go."
He has organised a charity fashion show for the last three years but this is the first time he has arranged and made everything himself. Mr Palmer, whose day job is as a contract sales manager for DC Leisure, said: "This is the most challenging thing I have done so far and I hope people like it. If they don't it's all me."
Tickets for the event sold for £25 and included a four-course meal, catwalk show and aftershow party.
Proceeds from the show will go to Dorothy House Hospice Care, based in Winsley.
