BUDDING artist George Taylor has won £500 for his school after coming first in a Christmas card design competition run by Swindon's Designer Outlet Village.
The card, created by Ruskin Junior School pupil George, aged eight, will soon be appearing on mantelpieces around the country and raising money for the Prospect Hospice.
Runners up in the competition were Frances Whittock, seven, from Wanborough School, and Aaron Lawton, also seven, from Even Swindon Infants. They each won £100 for their school.
Franco Muccini, centre manager at the outlet village, said: "All of the entries were of a really high standard, but we felt that George's design was very well thought out and would be a great design for the pack."
The card is part of a pack of winning designs from competitions held in several McArthur Glen centres. It will be available at the Swindon outlet from the information desk, Bookends and Clarks.
