THE Brunel shopping centre is encouraging shoppers to donate presents to underprivileged children.
The centre is erecting a Giving Tree next to the customer relations desk on the Upper Plaza.
Every shopper who visits the tree will be given the details of a child who needs a gift this Christmas.
The details can be used to buy a suitable present which can be left at the Giving Tree, and on Christmas Eve they will be collected and delivered to the Wiltshire and Swindon Community Foundation where they will be distributed to the needy.
Marketing manager of the Brunel Centre, Pip Laycock, said: "We recognise that some families are not fortunate enough to enjoy the spirit of Christmas, and through the Giving Tree we hope to bring the joy of gift-giving to children and families in need."
