ENTRIES for Swindon Civic Trust's favourite place competition will be on display today and tomorrow at the former railway museum in Faringdon Road, Swindon.
The exhibition will be open from 10am until 4pm both days and entrance is free.
Judging will take place on Monday and winners will be announced shortly afterwards.
Among the entries are depictions of Coate Water, the Lawns, the Town Hall in Regent Circus and Lydiard House and park, while younger entrants chose the Oasis leisure centre, Toys R Us, Asda Wal-Mart and McDonalds and St Peter's Church in Penhill Drive, which the Tool Cool group from North Swindon NSPCC centre recreated in a model.
It is the first year that the competition has been run and organisers received more than 70 entries.
The New Swindon Com-pany, Intel and the Water Research Centre have sponsored prizes.
Competitors were asked to describe their favourite place within Swindon in the most imaginative way. For more details call the Swindon Civic Trust on 01793 520592.
