BEMERTON Heath Harlequins endured mixed fortunes this week in their latest Sydenhams Wessex League fixtures.

On Saturday, a Stuart Findlay double was enough to give them a deserved 2-1 victory away at Blackfield & Langley, however, they went down on Tuesday 5-0 to a strong Lymington & New Milton side.

Meanwhile, Danny Aplin hit a hat-trick in Heath's reserves' 6-2 victory over Bashley. Andrew Waters, and Nick Collier (2) were also on target.

'Quins entertain Christchurch on Saturday before Tuesday night's visit of Alton Town.

Problems continue to mount for their Wessex rivals Downton who lost 3-2 against fellow strugglers Whitchurch despite leading 2-1.

Jesse Walters had cancelled out an early Whitchurch goal before Jason Guy put them in front just after the interval.

However, two goals in the final 12 minutes mean their opponents are now level on points with the Robins.

Downton will be hoping to rebuild confidence with a Wiltshire Senior Cup tie against Purton at Wick Lane on Saturday, ahead of Lymington & New Milton's visit on Tuesday.

In the Hampshire League's Premier Division Amesbury Town's climb up the table continues after a 4-3 success at Locks Heath on Saturday and Tuesday night's 3-2 defeat of Stockbridge.

Ringwood Town followed Saturday's 2-1 at Lymington Town with a 0-2 home reverse against Andover New Street.

Laverstock & Ford are up to fourth in Division One following a 3-1 victory over strugglers Tadley Town.

Toby Giles, Dom Male and Pete Gurd were on target for 'Stock who visit Fleetlands on Saturday.

Their reserves, who entertain Lymington Town this weekend, earned a point in a 1-1 draw at Fareham Town.
