SWINDON College have missed out on the chance to avenge their semi-final defeat in last year's Dorset & Wilts 1st XV Vase after handing a walkover to opponents Wheatsheaf Cabin Crew in Saturday's second round.
College were scheduled to face the Salisbury-based side in the last 16, but scratched to forfeit their chance of going one better in this year's competition.
College's hopes of a Vase victory were surprisingly dashed by lower-league North Dorset at the penultimate stage last season.
North Dorset thumped Weymouth 70-7 on Saturday to book their place.
Calne are also in the last eight after receiving a walkover from their match against Poole.
But Supermarine are out after an 80-0 humbling by Trowbridge at South Marston.
