FURTHER new mental health facilities have been opened at the redeveloped Old Manor Hospital site, in Salisbury.
The latest development, Beechlydene, will eventually house two wards that had previously been located in outdated buildings.
The ward has 24 beds and provides treatment for adults, of working age, with acute mental health problems.
The ward achieved practice development unit accreditation from Bournemouth University earlier this year, recognising the innovative working practices that the ward's multi-professional staff have introduced.
The move to Beechlydene, where all patients will be accommodated in single, en suite bedrooms, will provide a further boost to both the team and their patients.
Beechlydene is the latest new building to open at the Old Manor Hospital, as part of a £17m revamp of the site.
It follows Amblescroft, which opened earlier in the autumn and houses several services for older adults.
