A FORMER nightclub doorman turned artist Handrew Morgan, has set up an online gallery to market his paintings.
Mr Morgan, 41, of Eldene, took art lessons from controversial artist Robert Lenkiewicz who was famous for faking his own death to see what reaction he would get. He died last year.
Now Mr Morgan seems to be following in his mentor's footsteps by changing his first name. Christened Andrew, he altered his name to Handrew after seeing a spelling mistake and thinking it was appropriate because his hand was creating his art.
Mr Morgan's work, which can be seen at www.handrew.com, includes portraits of Winston Churchill, Mike Tyson, Freddie Mercury and Chris Eubank. He is currently making plans to exhibit his pictures around the UK.
In the meantime he is hoping the online gallery will bring them to a wider audience.
