BAGS of early Christmas cheer raised money for animals across Swindon. Eastcott Veterinary Clinic and Hospital hosted a Christmas bazaar on Saturday to support a host of local charities.
The National Canine Defence League, Cats Protection and Wiltshire Wildlife were among the worthy causes which benefited from the yuletide festivities.
Jan Sangster, practice manager at Eastcott Veterinary Clinic and Hospital, said: "The event was a tremendous success. We had great fun and managed to fill two cash boxes. Now we need to count it all."
The bazaar included tombolas, raffles and a special auction, headed by Richard Gowshall, partner at the clinic. Peter Southerden, another partner at the clinic, dressed up as Father Christmas for the occasion.
Mrs Sangster said: "There was a fantastic atmosphere and everyone entered into the swing of it for charity.''
