A TRIO of local charities are set to benefit from a £7,900 windfall presented to Salisbury City by the Football Association.
The money is from the FA's Community Shield Fund and City officials this week confirmed they were delighted to be in a position to help swell the coffers of good causes in the area.
It is thought that the Ace of Hearts charity will be one of the beneficiaries while the names of the other two will be revealed shortly.
The club is to host a pre-Christmas Race Night at its Sarum Suite on Thursday, December 4.
Admission to the event, which starts at 8pm, is free.
Special red replica shirts - bearing the FA Cup First Round wording as worn at Hillsborough by City players - are now available at the club's shop, priced £39. Anyone who has already purchased shirts without the embroidered detail can have it added for a £5 fee.
For more details ring the club on 01722 326454.
