Calne youth centre is looking for an outreach worker to help with its street-based projects.
The centre is currently running a scheme where youth workers walk around the town on a regular basis talking to young people about any issues they are concerned about.
Youth workers have compiled their information and said the most pressing issue for the majority of youngsters is getting a skate park in the town.
A similar scheme is being run in Malmesbury where street workers also offer advice and information on drugs-related issues.
Peter Kallmeier, who works at the Calne youth centre, gave a presentation to members of Calne Town Council last week to reveal the results of the street week.
The council supported the centre's work and wanted to help recruit more outreach volunteers.
"They are proactive in meeting young people and go to them and see what they want.
"The council thinks it is very valuable," said Coun Cathy Bowyer.
Anyone who is interested in becoming an outreach worker should contact Mr Kallmeier at the Calne Community and Youth Centre on (01249) 812509.
