Malmesbury School students hit the catwalk at a special fashion show at the school last Friday.
Students made the clothes from recycled materials using knots, bows and pleating under the expert eye of Heather Martin, a professional textile artist.
Ms Martin, who specialises in embroidery and decorated clothing, said the emphasis was on making fun and creative clothes that involved both costume and fashion.
Head of Arts Steve Leigh said: "The pupils have had a great time and have been quite excited at getting involved.
"Heather has been a fantastic addition to the art department and the unique opportunity she has offered many of our students has resulted in some very exciting work."
The scheme is part of a Community Arts Project using lottery funding via the Arts Council and Ms Martin will be artist in residence at the school for the next two terms.
All year groups will be involved in the project, called Catwalk Art, and pupils will hold a big fashion show next Easter. Mr Leigh said: "We have not had many artists in residence at the school and it gives the pupils the chance to do something different."
Ms Martin is also working at Malmesbury Primary School and Burton Hill School and is holding Saturday workshops for the public from 10am until 4pm, the first of which will be on Saturday.
