PUPILS at St Peter's Primary School in Devizes have entered the 21st century with a byte and a prayer after their new computer suite was blessed by the Bishop of Ramsbury last week.
The Bishop, the Right Reverend Peter Hullah, went to the school to give his imprimatur to the new suite of 15 networked computers and an interactive whiteboard a special piece of educational equipment operated through a laptop computer which has cost the school more than £30,000.
The money has been raised mainly through the hard work of the school's PTA. St Peter's was also given a £3,000 grant from the Government's Seed Challenge initiative.
Headteacher Sandy Fletcher said: "The new ICT suite is housed in an undesignated room that has been brought back into use."
Bishop Peter also blessed the new reception area.
