Councillors are to visit a housing site on Monday before making a decision about the controversial plans.
Members of Kennet District Council's regulatory committee will visit the site in the centre of Urchfont at 2pm.
The committee will then meet at the village hall to decide on the application. The public can attend the meeting.
Charles Church has applied to build 22 houses, nine of them low cost, at Manor Farmyard.
There is fierce opposition to the plan from villagers.
Kennet has received a petition signed by 127 people together with 120 letters of objection, with just one letter of support.
Protesters believe the proposed development would destroy the character of the village and lead to increased traffic congestion.
A previous planning application by Charles Church for 14 houses on the same site was refused by Kennet.
Charles Church has appealed against this refusal but the appeal is being held in abeyance until the new application is decided.
