CALNE Town's preparations for tomorrow's Screwfix League Division One match at Hallen have been hit by a number of late withdrawals.
The Wiltshire side were always going to have a tough task on their hands travelling to fourth placed Hallen but the unavailability of three key players has caused manager Kelvin Highmore a number of selection problems.
Goalkeeper Darryl Simms has had to pull out due to work commitments while top scorer Glenn Armstrong is going to Manchester and midfielder Martin Wheeler is going to Australia. Matt Pratley is likely to partner Ben Highmore upfront with Julian Crouch expected to recover from a bout of flu to take his place in goal.
Calne have enjoyed a mini revival in recent weeks and are now up to sixth place in the league, just five points behind tomorrow's opponents although they have played two more games.
They slipped to a disappointing defeat at home to Willand on Saturday and Highmore is determined to prove it was just a blip.
He said: "I expect a very tough game especially after our selection disaster this week but it is important to respond to last week's defeat in the right way.
"This is the perfect game for us after a defeat because we know it will be hard and the lads will be mentally prepared for it."
Highmore will be talking to Corsham manager, Colin Bush, to get the lowdown on their opponents but he admits he might pick an attacking line up.
He said: "Apparently they play at the back at home and like to get the ball down and play. So I am thinking of throwing three upfront to give them something to think about."
