The Salvation Army in Trowbridge has launched a campaign to collect toys for families in need.
The Pass the Parcel Toy Appeal began on Monday and people are urged to take any spare toys to a collection point at Superdrug in The Shires, Trowbridge.
Salvation Army officers Tony and Heather Godwin have just moved to west Wiltshire and are hoping people will dig deep for those people in need.
Mrs Godwin said: "We used to live in Cheltenham and have done a lot of this sort of fundraising. I hope it will go well here in Trowbridge. Mrs Godwin is planning to join with parenting support service Splitz and social services to deliver food parcels to single parent families for Christmas.
To make a contribution you can deliver a toy for 0-16s to Superdrug by December 14.
