BOTH Highworth Town and Fairford Town know that nothing less than their best will do if their names are to be in the hat for the third round of the FA Vase on Monday.

Both Hellenic League outfits have daunting away ties in tomorrow's second round against teams not used to losing.

Highworth travel to the south coast to meet Wessex League Gosport Borough, who have lost just once this season and conceded just nine goals in 15 games.

They will be without Mark Belcher, who may need a knee operation, while Neil Dix will continue his recovery from a side injury by playing for the reserves.

McShane is also cup-tied and boss John Fisher admitted: "We haven't done a lot of homework on them, but we know we will have to be in top form.''

Fairford travel west to Bristol-based Screwfix Direct Western League Division One Bitton without Danny Mason and Lee Kilfoyle, while Neil Matthews needs a late fitness test.

Bitton are unbeaten, but Fairford saw them off in a GFA Cup semi-final last season, and boss Mark Webb believes they can do it again.

"Our track record is pretty good against Screwfix sides and we will give it a go. We will start as underdogs which suits us fine. They will not enjoy playing against us because we battle for everything.''

Screwfix Premier Division Devizes will hope to take another step along the road to emulating last year's appearance in the Vase quarter-finals by claiming victory at Wiltshire rivals Westbury.
