CHRIS Taylor launched a stinging attack on Saturday's match officials after watching his Warminster side crash out of the first round of the Wiltshire Senior Cup at home to Amesbury.
Trailing 1-0 at half-time, Warminster put in a much improved second half performance, but their efforts went unrewarded after several controversial decisions resulted in a 3-0 defeat.
Warminster's Dave Hopkins had a goal disallowed for offside, while Amesbury's second half efforts came from a re-taken penalty, after the home side had been penalised for encroachment, and a goal from a hotly-disputed corner.
Dave Watkins and Tom Baxter were then sent off for disputing the decisions in an eventful second half.
Taylor said: "We did more than enough to win the match apart from poor refereeing.
"They scored a goal from a corner when it should have been a goal-kick and after our keeper saved a penalty they were allowed another go.
"It really was poor refereeing that cost us and our two lads were sent of for mouthing off but I think the officials put them in that situation."
Warminster have endured a dismal run in the last few weeks but Taylor believes thing are looking up.
He said: "Our second half performance was actually very good. We had another couple of players missing and once they are back we should be OK.
"Things are looking up but we just need a bit of luck to get our morale and attitude back up."
Warminster entertain Corsham Town Reserves in a Wiltshire League match tomorrow. Kick off 2.15pm.
