Ref. 27589Pupils at a Trowbridge primary school are already reaping the benefits from £90,000-worth of improved facilities.
A series of grants means that Grove Primary School now has a remodelled classroom and an expanded computer suite.
"The new facilities were officially opened on Monday and look set to transform life at the school.
The project has been funded by seven Trowbridge businesses, the Friends of Grove School, education charity the William 'Doc' Couch Trust and Government cash. The new facilities also include an acoustically sound group teaching room, which will prove a great benefit for pupils with hearing problems.
Headteacher Paul Berry said: "This is going to have a terrific impact.
"We've never had such a brilliant IT facility.
"We have been looking for this for about a year now so it's quite a relief to see it finished.
"It is wonderful for me to see the children making good use of it.
"Without the support of the local community this wonderful addition to our school would never have happened.
"Grove children deserve the best.
"I am delighted too that the computer suite is available for the local community to use through the Trowbridge Connecting initiative."
