WE are all busy people and appreciate being able to park for a short while to get one or two jobs done.
As was the case for me on Friday October 24. I had to pick up my son from my mum's at Roundstone Street at lunchtime.
As usual I pulled up to wait for a space out of the 13 cars parked, after eight minutes I turned off the engine and waited.
The time passed and I was getting more annoyed but was now determined to see just how long I had to wait. Well, after waiting for 31 minutes (in a 30-minute waiting zone) someone finally moved.
My mum wondered why I was so late, after explaining we sat down and had a cup of coffee.
After 23 minutes I left with my son to go home. I could not believe when I looked along the rank of parked cars and saw only two different vehicles from when I originally started waiting.
Where are the traffic wardens when you want them?
