Your paper has given some much needed space to the very great need of a decent football pitch for Trowbridge Town Football Club who at present play at Woodmarsh.
Our young players are a great credit to this town and deserve better, as do the long-suffering band of dedicated supporters.
My worry is that if we don't get somewhere soon we will lose these people to other things (more revenue going out of the town for leisure).
We were promised so much when Southwick Park was bought and we have had nothing.
Even smaller towns in west Wiltshire have more than this, the county town.
Our players can't progress until we do move, so come on someone, help us out please.
In conclusion may I, through your paper, say a big thank you to our very hard-working treasurer, Roy While, who puts in so much time and effort and without whom I don't know how we would carry on. I'd also like to thank his wife Diane and the fundraising committee for all their help.
