STALLHOLDERS were flooded with visitors in Fore Street, Trowbridge, on Saturday for the Christmas Street Fair.
People were asked to get into the spirit of the event by dressing up as comic characters.
June Fleming, chairman of the Hope Nature Centre which had a stall at the fair, won the dressing up contest.
Mrs Fleming said: "All the dressing up just helps with the fun of the day.
"I was dressed as Professor McGonagal from the Harry Potter books and I felt a bit like the wicked witch.
"One little boy asked me in a very serious voice whether I was a real witch, and when I told him I was a character from the Harry Potter books his face lit up.
"It was such a good day for all the stallholders and there was a really good atmosphere. Some-times the customers can be a bit on the quiet side but I think the weather and the sunshine brought everyone out in a very jolly mood."

The newspaper also teamed up with Greggs to give away free mince pies with copies of the paper.
Town development manager Daryl Saville-Brown said: "I am pleased with how well it went."
